The machines which can carry out variety of task on their own with little or no human control are Robots. In many factory robots are in form of mechanical arm which can built things. Drilling, painting, cutting, welding, and gripping tools are most often fitted to end of robot's arm. Due to their friendly function they have become popular. Robots have inbuilt sensor which responses to sound and touch. Some sensors are such that they make robots to understand spoken words of humans. Scientist are studying on robots to make them more advance in function same as that of human characteristics like to see, hear, learn, movements, and to make their own decisions. One of the most advance humanoid robot is developed by Japanese car manufacturer Honda named as ASIMO. Name ASIMO stands for Advanced Step in Innovative MObility. This robot look like a small astronaut with backpack. ASIMO can perform like to walk, talk, carry and hold things, recognize familiar faces and respond to its name. ASIMO was first robot who can walk and climb on stairs individually. There are many robots with for that particular function also robots are trained by human for a particular function. Robots are specified by movement performed by them on their respective axis. Some robot toys are in shape of animals with simple artificial intelligence.
